Fostering Saves Lives

Do you have a love for animal and the time and safe space to provide an animal in need?  We are always seeking dedicated fosters to care for some of our most vulnerable animals. We have a specific foster need for pregnant and nursing cats as well as orphaned kittens.

What is needed from a foster:

  • Provide a nurturing home environment for the animals in your care. For cats we do ask for a separate space/room that would be dedicated to them away from any other animals in the home.  Kittens are typically in a foster home until they are “adoption ready,” at about 3 months old, at which time they can be placed into one of our adoption centers or placed in a space at the rescue.
  • Help socialize and prepare the animal for adoption. Providing feedback on the animal’s personality is helpful in assisting with successfully matching an animal with a potential adopter.  Cute pictures also help!
  • Transport the animals to medical appointments (mostly at the rescue). Kittens typically need medical care every 2-3 weeks for their vaccinations and then also to spay/neuter appointments.

What is provided by the rescue:

  • Food and Supplies (Litter, toys, dishes, blankets, etc.)
  • Medical Care
  • Support from a team of volunteers who all share a love and passion for animals.

Here is what some of our current fosters have to say:
